What is a Marketing Website?




Traditionally, websites are designated as either "small business" or "corporate". However, we do not make that distinction. To us, the website either sells, or doesn't — It doesn't matter whether it's small business or corporate. You either sell from your website OR you sell from your offline distribution networks (and your website provides supplementary information).

We specialize in marketing websites.

In a nutshell, a marketing website is a website which is also considered as a point of sale (and has measurable ROIs). Therefore, there must be balance betweeen aesthetics and functionality.


How does it work?

  1. The focus of the copy in a marketing website is in establishing trust and detailing the USP (unique selling proposition) of the website.

  2. The website also gives sufficient detail of the product to elicit immediate purchase (or at least prompt an enquiry).

And so testimonials and uncluttered information — optimally presented, taking into account the eye-tracking habits of web readers, and which also answers questions of why the visitor should buy from you (as opposed to someone else) — are given careful consideration.

Other important considerations are good navigation and easy sales processes that keep your visitor till the order is placed.

But there is more.

There are technical aspects - like ensuring that your website colors are consistent when viewed in different browsers, and your website displays optimally on different screen sizes and resolutions. And there is also the further consideration that your website loads quickly as many sales are lost from slow-loading websites alone.

Note: In marketing websites, graphics & flash presentations are judiciously applied as this can adversely affect loading times as well as your search engine results (as the spiders that read your search words/phrases do not read graphics).
